CG Solutions has been trusted to take part in the construction of Karlskoga’s new swimming facility, together with NCC and on behalf of the City of Karlskoga.
Our work includes erecting the complete structural frame for the new facility, which will cover around 10,000 square metres. The swimming facility will include a 25×25-metre swimming pool, a diving pool with diving boards and platforms, as well as a family area with several pools for both play and swimming lessons. It will be a much-awaited place for swimming lessons, training, play and swimming in Karlskoga.
Building the structural frame for a swimming facility places special demands on design, material choices and installation. The humid environment, together with chlorine and high durability requirements, means that the structure needs to be carefully designed to reduce the risk of corrosion. For this reason, a large amount of concrete is used and steel is kept to a minimum.
The project also includes many concrete walls within a limited area. This requires experience, good planning and efficient installation work. For CG Solutions, the project is a great opportunity to use our broad expertise in precast concrete, installation and material selection.
The project is being carried out as a partnering project, with close communication between everyone involved. Through regular meetings with NCC and the other parties, we make sure that the work continues according to plan.
