We view sustainability as a holistic and ongoing development process. We are constantly striving to reduce our environmental impact, support local communities, and promote healthy economic growth.

Our sustainability efforts are part of an ongoing development process in which we constantly strive to make our operations more sustainable at every level. In line with the construction industry’s objectives, one of our primary environmental goals is to achieve climate neutrality by 2045. We aim for healthy growth by developing cost-effective and sustainable projects for all parties involved.
Through carbon footprint assessments on our projects, we can identify both economically and environmentally sustainable alternatives. Since 2020, we have conducted climate reporting, which serves as a foundation for determining the specific measures needed to further improve our operations.
Our employees, partners, and customers are important to us. That’s why we aim to create a healthy work environment where everyone is treated with respect and equality. We continuously work to promote a culture of appreciation and inclusion, where everyone can make a difference. Our values are built on responsibility, precision, and a strong focus on quality in everything we do. This, along with healthy economic growth, creates a secure working environment for our employees. Through our QHSE processes, we ensure that this direction is maintained and improved. By conducting regular supplier assessments, we also ensure that our suppliers adhere to social sustainability requirements, including combating corruption, child labor, and other social injustices.
To contribute to a more sustainable and healthier society, we support local associations and events in the communities where we operate, with a primary focus on sports and leisure activities. We are proud of this engagement and our ability to give back to our local communities.
To monitor the emissions of our projects, we conduct carbon footprint assessments on the involved products, waste, and installation processes. These assessments are primarily based on specific climate data from Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to accurately reflect the climate impact of the products. When EPDs are unavailable, we use generic data from the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building, and Planning. We are constantly seeking climate-improved alternatives from our suppliers, since the products used in our projects account for a significant portion of our emissions
In addition to project-specific carbon footprint assessments, CarlGustav Solutions has been conducting annual climate reporting since 2020. While our overall emissions have increased due to company growth, our emissions per revenue have decreased each year—from 69 tons of CO2e/MSEK in 2020 to around 12 tons of CO2e/MSEK in 2023. This reduction is largely attributed to a greater share of projects using wood or hybrid structures and an increased focus on climate optimization in our projects. The climate reporting is carried out by a third party, using calculations according to the GHG Protocol. Our ISO 14001 certification ensures that environmental considerations are always prioritized and provides a clear benchmark for measuring our progress in the right direction.
Since the beginning, our QHSE processes has been a cornerstone of our operations. We believe that our QHSE efforts are crucial to our long-term success and sustainability, as they ensure that we deliver high-quality work, protect the environment, and create a safe workplace for our employees. By integrating quality, health, safety, and environmental considerations into everything we do, we build trust with our customers and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
