Vendelsömalm sports hall
Construction of a new full-size sports hall for 250 people will begin in Vendelsömalm, Haninge, in autumn 2025. The hall, replacing an existing, less accessible facility, will serve both the local school and sports clubs.
The project is led by contractor Byggdialog with Cedervall Arkitekter as architects.
CarlGustav Solutions will deliver:
- Façade elements in metal and concrete sandwich panels
- TRP metal sheets
- Glulam columns and beams
- Steel frame including columns and beams
- Trusses over the hall
- Secondary steelwork for sports equipment
- Fire protection for the above
The hall will be 7 meters high with internal dimensions of 43 × 26 meters. Construction is expected to take about a year, with completion in autumn 2026.
It will accommodate multiple sports, including floorball, handball, and basketball, and feature four changing rooms, foldable stands for 150 spectators, a classroom with a movable partition, and a cafeteria with a fully equipped kitchen.
