CG Solutions has been trusted by Byggdialog AB to take part in the expansion of the Hammargård wastewater treatment plant in Kungsbacka, where a new office building is being constructed with a strong focus on sustainability and circular construction.
CG Solutions is responsible for the design, delivery and installation of the load-bearing structure, consisting of a steel frame, hollow core slabs and walls. The project is a clear example of how reused materials can be included in modern structural solutions without compromising function, quality or safety.
Around 50 percent of the steel structure consists of reused structural steel, while 98 percent of the floor structure is made from reused hollow core slabs. By carefully inspecting, quality-checking and adapting existing structural components, the amount of newly produced material has been significantly reduced. This results in a lower climate impact and more efficient use of resources.
The completed building shows how circular construction principles can be put into practice and that reused materials are a realistic option even in technically advanced construction projects. A big thank you to Byggdialog AB for their trust in us.
